This is a fantastic variation of LENA , whose iconic necklines drape when you drapes it or pulls onto the shoulder for a clean line. * ALINA is 3” shorter than LENA ~ and 3" longer than ADINA.
The very same 50's inspired A-lined skirt is slightly shorter skirt than LENA, coupled with a slightly raised waist, ALINA is perfect on all gals & has a side zipper, whereas the other gals do not. The classic silhouette is always in style, just like you!
This wisp of a featherweight parachute-like woven stretchy fabric is a dream in the heat of the steam of summer.. watch out for that Marilyn moment! This baby is hand or machine washable - gentle cycle - she air dries in minutes ~ packs like a dream & unpacks nearly wrinkle free.
I created this pattern and have been making this dress for decades! Always playing with skirt length, sleeve shapes, add on a collar here and there... to work with whatever fabrics I conjure so you always have 'a new' version of the dress whose supreme fit and fabric you have come to rely on. Others have attempted to copy & produce this baby, but these knock-offs of my dresses will never measure up to my master. And they're always mass produced. For my limited editions there's no competition. My collection remains quality and fit, standing the test of time, season after gleeful season... that's me!
